Our green treated posts are made of white pine and are treated with ACQ2 treatment, just like yellow pine. America’s Fence Store’s treated posts are designed to stay in great shape and to have a long service life.

While white pine does cost a bit more than yellow pine, it holds its form better than yellow pine and is less likely to twist or bow over time. Due to the pressure treatment, green treated white pine posts are prone to a little light twisting. Over time white pine gets some vertical cracks called “checks.” These cracks are fine and will not threaten the integrity or strength of the post.
