The 6-5/8" Black End Band[12 Gauge], also known as the brace band, is an essential component in assembling a chain link fence, designed to attach horizontal rails, barbed wire, and tension wires to terminal posts. (Terminal posts include gate posts, end posts, and corner posts.) The installation process is easy. After fitting each of your terminal posts with tension bands, slide the 6-5/8" Black End Band over the post adjacent to the rail end. Next, slide the rail end between the band's tangs and secure using a carriage bolt (sold separately).
This brace band is also designed for gate frames. It features black vinyl coating and is fabricated using rust resistant materials.

How the part fits? A 6-5/8” end bands are designed to go over 6-5/8” terminal posts.
Where is it installed? A 6-5/8” end band is installed to support the rail end at the top of the fence. The 6-5/8” end band will be placed adjacent to the rail end on the 6-5/8” terminal post.
How many do you need? You will need (1) 6-5/8” end band per termination of fence. For every full stretch of fabric, you will need (2) end bands for your (2) terminal posts.

6-5/8” end bands should be installed after you install your tensions bands. Your end band will slide over your 6-5/8” terminal post adjacent to your rail end. You will then slide your rail end in between the tangs of the end band and place a 5/16” x 1-1/4” carriage bolt through the band and rail end and tighten the nut.
